The yellow wood is Pao Amorillo (also known as satinwood) which has been segmented.  The top ring (the "Necklace") is segmented zircote, with tulipwood arrowheads, and a front "pendant" of tulipwood, holly, zircote and a central mother-of-pearl inlay.  9 1/2" diameter, 12" high.
