Instant Visual Basic Animation By Michelle Leroux
Instant VB Animation is a great book for anyone who wants there programs to look interesting.
It of course tells how to do professional animation in VB 4.0. If you are thinking of writing a game in VB this
book is a must. It also tells how to make sprites and other neat things in VB. I have this book and really like
it. Even if you don't plan on making games in VB you should still think about purchasing it. HELLO
The Black Art of VB Game Programming By Mark Prudent
This book is awesome!!! It starts off telling how to make a clone BREAK-THROUGH (Pong like game
with blocks that you have to blow up), which even lets you incorporate the joystick. This book requires some VB
knowledge and so if you want to buy it get an easier book first. Like I said with Michele Leroux's book this is
a must for all VB programmers who want to program games. The book then goes over some other games and tells valuable
clues for creating games in VB.
Visual Basic 4 Network Gaming Adventure Set By David Allen
"Games that can be played across a network are one of the hottest things going in the gaming
world, allowing people in different locations to play the same game together in realtime. But creating these mulitplayer
games is a difficult task. Visual Basic 4 Network Gaming Adventure Set gives you everything you need to create
multiplayer games, including more than 700 pages of expert instruction and a CD-ROM full of incredible tools. This
is the first and only book especially designed to show you how to create games with Microsoft's new DirectPlay!"

This book caught my eye in the bookstore but after close examination I decided the this book
is basically garbage. If you want to learn how to program games in Visual Basic don't get this book. Even if you
don't know any programming you will find that it teaches you almost nothing. The Black Art of Visual Basic Game
Programming is a much better book and if you want to actually learn something.
