Age: nineteen! here me roar. (rarr!) nineteen is the age beyond "just barely an adult." it is..."old"

How old do you really look?: i am a short nineteen year old. if you look at my face and my body, i am nineteen. if you miss that and just look at my stature, i am maybe sixteen. either way, i don't think i can get a child's discount to get into any amusement park anymore (but i do, however, still get children's menus at restaurants. screw them.)

Shoe size: 6ish

Height: 154cm (dangerously close to but not quite 5'1")

Eye color: blue. i like how they look when the light from the sun shines into them. an oh-so-blue that makes me feel beautiful.

Hair color: brown, for now, and incredibly devilishly long (for now, as well)

Living Arrangements: a room -- look around the website to see. it's gray and small and messy and mine. it is in a house in san diego, ca.

Curly or straight: straight-like with random, messy curls.

School: mesa college, baby yeah. summer school starts tomorrow. :(

Grade: a transferring 3.93 (it's slightly higher when you calculate my nontransferrable classes into it). one B. just one! sigh. i will learn to be a 3.93 kirsten. i will.

Do you have a job?: yes. in addition to cleaning a couple lots, setting up the sanctuary each week for church, building websites, and babysitting, i also am an official "barista" at starbucks. 

Do you wear glasses?: yes, normally. since i started driving with a more frequency, i've grown accustomed to seeing the world as it really is. thus, i now feel blind when i remove my vision-device. i think my eyesight is getting slightly worse over time, too.

Ever been involved with the police?: aside from serving them coffee most nights, no, not at all.

Best thing you did last summer?: so far THIS summer, i haven't done anything terribly "exciting" at all. and because school starts tomorrow, i guess i'm just going to have to choose a memory. best thing i did last summer was...get to see joel after he had been gone for a month. and we went to mission beach and looked at expensive houses we would never be able to afford. we sat on the grass at a park and ate in-n-out and we tried to figure out his finances. and we smiled, sometimes, and i made a daisy chain while he talked to a woman from the bank.

What style clothes do you wear?: thrift store chic. i don't know what style it is, but if you saw me, you might get the impression that "she just doesn't care" and you'd probably be right about that. instead of just jeans and a t-shirt, i mix up my clothes more nowadays. skirts and ties and hats and scarves and pants that aren't jeans and whatnot. whatever style it is, i like it.

Do you have any pets?: no...and i still miss trixie. she's still living somewhere and i hope she's happy and i wonder where she is.

Have you ever done any drugs?: not really.

Do you collect anything?: i casually collect fortunes from fortune cookies, but i don't truly actively "collect" anything. i moreso "accumulate" -- especially things like books and memorabilia and junk. lots of junk. 


FAVORITES

Model: i have filled out this survey for the past six years and to this day, i still don't know the name of any model.

TV theme song: i don't think i watch enough television to have a favorite theme song. i guess if we're just going to go with like, favorite tv show, then the theme from the gilmore girls cause that show is flipping awesome.

Fruit: while i have always loved pineapple, i always buy fuji apples when i go to the grocery store to buy lunch. i also love blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, peaches, kiwi, and pretty much every kind of fruit imaginable (but i'm not absolutely crazy over bananas). 

Teacher: dr. k is my favorite professor on a personal level, and dr. kennedy is my favorite professor on a studious level because i loved listening to him talk about history. at mesa, i did like professor schanberger until he thought i cheated.

Day of the week: saturday. yes. saturday still. unless maybe it's friday, because i don't have school on friday and i don't have work (so i get to sleep in). mm. it might be friday. but saturday still has the saturday feel of it and i do like the saturday feel. i don't know.

Candy: mm...fruit snacks? i'm not really into candy right now.

Food: i have been on a cereal kick lately cause it's just so incredibly easy to make. pour cereal. pour milk. consume. also, i have a special place in my heart for the blueberry muffin from starbucks. it's like a comfort food or something. 

Actor/Actress: mm...i guess i still like adam sandler and drew barrymore.

Song: currently, "the christmas song" by dave matthews band. they aren't my favorite band...but that is definitely my favorite song at the moment. 

Animal: the pet store was selling them for 5¢ a piece. i thought that odd since they were normally a couple thousand each. i decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth. i bought 200. i like monkeys. 

Radio station: none. i listen to a cd if i have my stereo on at all.

Ice cream: it may currently be strawberry ice cream.

Drink: strawberry lemonade or vanilla lattes from Peet's coffee and tea.

Season: spring...because the whole world is coming alive. summer is no longer my favorite season and i feel somehow older for that.

Sport: i guess i still like watching gymnastics, but i don't ever watch gymnastics anymore. or any sport. let's pretend debate is a sport. debate is my favorite sport.

Yourself: i have a huge headache and i am very emotional. 

Heaven/hell: i wish i looked forward to heaven with so much more gusto than i do. i wish it truly was the prize that i ran after every day. hell is so much a bigger part of our conversation - through using it as a cuss word or whatever - and heaven is so much a greater goal. so why is it so much more easily forgotten?

Love at first sight: oh, love is a struggle and a commitment, not something that happens right at first when you see them. 

Do you have a religion: i love jesus and i try to reflect that. that's not a "religion" but that's all i've got.

FUTURE

If you could have any occupation: i want to be a teacher...truly. in an urban school. i also would like to lead teams to countries fighting aids and prostitution. 

What's your dream car: i want a car that runs well, uses some sort of clean fuel, and gets great gas mileage.

If you could live anywhere: the question is more, who do you want to live with? because if i'm with the right people/person, it doesn't matter where i'm at. 

Want to get married at: sometime in the not too distant future (please). before i'm 24.

How many kids do you want?: four? maybe three girls and a boy.

Named your goldfish: when i had goldfish, i named them, yes.

Gotten in a car accident: yes, i have. it is the scariest thing in the world. last september, i rearended a guy (plastic bumper - not too big a deal) and a week later, i got rearended. joel was driving and it was incredibly scary and it ruined our weekend plans (but was the catalyst to god's plans, which is kind of weird to think about).

Taped an entire Dawson's Creek episode: "Watched an entire Dawson's Creek episode" no.

If you were stranded on a desert island and you could only have 3 things, what would they be?: joel, a bible, and a knife.

Where were you when you found out OJ Simpson was innocent?: he wasn't innocent, but i was in a cabin up in...tahoe or somewhere.

Craziest/funniest dream: this afternoon i had a dream that i was in some weirded out futuresque ruins of the world. we were trying to find a way out and so we kept following these tunnels and pathways. there was a mcdonald's.

Would you rather be hot or cold?: cold, if that means someone is going to warm me.

What is your curfew?: i don't have one, i guess. i don't think i've ever had one.

What is your fav. Halloween costume of all time?: i was minnie mouse when i was four. i didn't trick-or-treat, though, when i was little.

What do you mostly talk about w/ your friends when guys aren't around?? we talk about life and politics and philosophy...but mostly life.

Would you ever kiss a guy/girl on a first date?? i tend to kiss boys before the first date...and then we decide, "we should date" - i guess to ex post facto justify ourselves. that's only two boys, but still. if i went out on "dates," i wouldn't kiss on the first one.

How do you let a guy/girl know you like them?? i don't worry about this anymore... joel's the only guy i like.

What personality trait is coolest in a guy/girl?? honesty is refreshing. intelligence isn't something to be missed either.

If you could hang out w/ anyone in the entire world who would it be? it would have to be joel. i don't know if i come across as obsessed, but i adore his presence. i like how he fits so solidly into my solitude. he's been away for a while, and i'm looking forward to seeing him again very much.

If you could be one celeb who would it be?? i would want to be me. idon't ever want to not be me. :P
