Normally, I might scorn home pages that are nothing but links.  After all, a page should have more content on it than just links to other people's content.  But what page would be complete without ideas for wasting enormous amount of time?  So I quickly threw together a collection of web sites that I've discovered can keep you busy for hours.

...a Cheap Version of Caitlin Land
Aside from the irritating background music, this site is very cool.  Coolness clearly runs in the family, because Caitlin is my little sister (who is almost 13).  It has "Thought of the Day" (which is not actually updated daily), a journal in which she rants, pictures of her gorgeous self, and other random selections.

Homestar Runner!
Eskel and Sibert say this site is the funniest one of the...something! Seriously, folks... I laughed, I cried. Full of interaction and cartoons saying funny things. Highly recommended.

Paradigm Pride
This is a shameless plug for my debate club's web site.  I lie.  Not every site on this list of cool sites is going be a fun waste of time... 'cause this one is just beautiful (guess who designed it? ;) and it's about and for my debate club. But it's mine and I wanted to upload it so there. Go check it out just to humor me.

The Mini-Mizer
Picture yourself in plastic. This site is just freaky cool.  You get to use lots of different styles and looks and make Lego people.  Check out this picture of Lego Spiderman holding an apple jelly sandwich in a cloister.  Tell me that's not mad cool!  It's way fun, way entertaining, way a waste of time!

The Brunching Shuttlecocks | The Ratings
Go read this man. He writes some of the most humorous literature I have ever read in my entire life.  I was hysterical last night reading his bit on things in a dollar store.  HYSTERICAL.  And today, when I shared this link with Katie, she said she choked laughing over his bit on Sundae toppings. Go read it! (Warning: It really is not entirely family friendly.)

Insaniquarium
In this game, you must feed the little fishies so that they'll get bigger and will poop out money.  You collect the money, buy more supplies, and collect even more money!  Sounds fun? I know.  It really doesn't.  But if you start playing it, you won't be able to stop. It's quite a lovely way to waste time.

I Am The Ruler Of The Free World
My dear friend, Katie, has a lovely web site that she is maintaining while living in Germany.  She's as interesting and intelligent as I am.  It used to have a lot of things on it, but then the Internet ate it.  I can't get rid of the link though, because I admire this girl too much.

Makai Media Spear Toss.
Thanks be to Jared Light for this new, innovative way to waste my time.  This game is so easy and elementary that one cannot help but throw that spear again and again in vain attempts to surpass their high score (mine is 533.678).

3D Pong
LiquidMedia presents - Pong in 3D. Clever!  And quite addictive.  Somehow, after every game, you are left convinced that you can do better next time... all this to say, I've wasted countless hours playing this game and you can too!

Animal-In-You Personality Test
Every animal species use a unique blend of aggression, passivity, speed, agility, intelligence stealth, and skittishness to help it survive in a competitive word. Through a process known as parallel evolution, nature ensures that we humans also exhibit a set of various characteristics that corresponds to a particular animal species. So what animal are you? Short survey, fun results.

The Duct Tape Guys
There's nothing you can't do with duct tape.  Disagree?  Try to stump the Duct Tape Guys.  Or just look at amazing duct tape fashions.

Duct Tape Fashion
A fellow duct taper, Keith Drone, specializes in duct tape apparel.  From wallets to visors to guitar straps...with enough support, he'll have a full department store full of duct tape fashions.

Rinkworks
Bored?  This web site can occupy you for hours.  They've got a nice selection of rants, jokes, and best of all, games that are perfect for wasting time.

LemonadeGame.com
Setup an online lemonade stand and see how much lemonade you can sell. Based on the weather forecast for each day, you decide how much to charge per cup and how much inventory to buy...I killed nearly half an hour playing this game. :)

Death Clock

The Internet's friendly reminded that life is slipping away... second by second.  Plug in some of your data and watch your time slip by.  Strangely addicting.

Phone Spell
Haven't you just always wondered what your phone numbered spelled out?  While it's certainly more time consuming to figure it out the old-fashioned way, this is fun too.

Darwin Awards
True stories about stupid things people did that got themselves killed.

Forward Garden
An archive of 103,448 forwards that you can read and, by doing so, waste an enormous amount of time. Somehow, it is more appealing to read email forwards when they are not forwarded to you. Weird.  Also, when I first added this site to my web page, it had only 3,886 forwards.  My, how expansive it has been.

News of the Weird
Proof that true stories are stranger than made-up ones.  News of the Weird is the longest-running, most widely-read bizarre-but-all-true news feature in the United States.

20 Questions
Play 20 Questions with the computer.  Pick an object, and watch the A.I. try to guess.  I played for at least an hour.

The Straight Dope
Find out true answers to many of life's most interesting questions.  Cecil Adams (the writer of the columns) answers these questions for a living, so you know he does an A+ job of getting the fact straight.

The Sanity Test
Complete a semi-lengthy questionnaire and find out your level of insanity. (Now back for the whole world to see!) (...I think it had always "been back" but I just had missed the memo about the changing web host. Oh well.) ...and I'm now noticing it's different and not at all as cool as it once was. Again: Oh well.
