o The Sandals
o The sandals being worn
o Joe's Sandals (he made them from these directions)

The duct tape sandals are (almost shamefully) not 100% duct tape.

What you'll need: duct tape; cardboard; a pair of sandals or shoes you currently own (for sizing purposes).

1. SOLE: Trace your shoe/sandal on a sheet of cardboard. Cut out. I recommend using two layers of cardboard for each sandal (or hey, using 20 layers and you'll have platforms...just a thought. ;).

2. STRAPS*: Take a long strip of duct tape (2" width) and fold it length-wise. Trim to desired width (this piece will be used for the straps of the flip flops).

3. PLACEMENT OF STRAPS: Cut slits in the cardboard soles and insert duct tape straps. You can use your current sandals as models to approximate where to cut slits in the cardboard.

4. FINISH: Now you need only duct tape the cardboard. Badda bing badda boom. Duct tape sandals.

* Note: You can be as creative as you want with the straps. Last summer, I told a guy how to make duct tape sandals and he used blue straps (like on regular sandals). For my sandals, I used beaded straps. The possibilities are endless.
