The Bedroom Studios

The Bedroom Studios is where a vast majority of Shakedown Records songs have originated. The musical arrangements, MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files and vocal practice sessions take place right here. The songs from the Patrick Neal album "Life Stories" were also pre-produced here

When Shakedown Records first began Pat did all of this work literally in his bedroom at his parent's house. Another Shakedown artist, Dennis Young, coined the name "Bedroom Studios" and it stuck. Several other square dance record labels have recorded vocal tracks here.

Best defined as a "Project Studio", here is a partial equipment list:

An ADAT LX120 and Mackie 1604VLZ Mixer, Alesis Reverb and EasyRider Compression.

Unlimited MIDI tracks and up to 8 tracks of Hard Disk recording using Cubase SX

Yamaha KX88 and KX76 controller keyboards controlling multiple tone generators, including:

Yamaha TX802 (2), Kawaii KMP1, Yamaha RM50, Roland JV880, Digital Vocalist.

Final mixes can be placed on DAT, CD-R, Cassette, MiniDisc or mp3.
