Michael Shapiro: Sounds for the theatre

Theatrical sound home page

Since college, as a hobby, I have prepared sound effects and incidental music recordings for theatrical productions. Here's how I got started doing sound for theatre and some of my early experiences.

If you're involved in producing shows, I can probably help with your productions. Please call me to discuss your needs and how I can assist you.

The pages listed below have some information I've gathered about my hobby, starting with some of my credits. (I moved to San Diego, California, in 1972. All companies listed in credits are in San Diego or nearby communities, unless otherwise noted.) Next comes a guideline I prepared for directors. As I get to them, I plan to add pages on other aspects of this hobby.

My credits for the 2004 to 2005 season (to date)
My credits for the 2003 to 2004 season

My credits for the 2002 to 2003 season
My credits for the 2001 to 2002 season
My credits for the past decade (or so)
My complete sound editing credits
My current program bio information
