Me & Mine
Hi! My name is Lynn and I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. I am the youngest of four children. My father's career led to many transfers so I grew up in a variety of places including Yorktown Heights, New York; Rolling Meadows, Illinois; Westchester, Pennsylvania; and both Hillsborough and Walnut Creek, California. Presently, I live in La Jolla, California.
My parents live in Del Mar, California. A retired Executive VP from Union Pacific Railroad, my father now spends much of his time playing golf, serving on many golfing committees, and playing on his computer. My mother spends her time golfing, playing tennis, and working on her current crafting activity, which entails making hand-made cards. What can I say . . . I have GREAT parents!! As a matter of fact, my whole family is pretty darn great . . . :o)
My oldest brother Mark now lives in San Diego. He is a man of many talents and I rely on him a great deal for his endless knowledge of computers, graphics, and so much more. We got addicted to body boarding together last summer, so you can find us at the beach quite a bit during the summer. You can usually look for Mark, Kenny (my boyfriend), and me at Del Mar Beach, although we started out at La Jolla Shores, which is just down the beach from La Jolla Cove!! If we're feeling really bold (and energetic), you might even find us at Black's Beach.
My other brother is Tom. He married a great lady named Bettie and they have a daughter (my niece), Emily. She is a joy. Tom graduated with a BS in Business Administration from Chico State University, yet he and his family have chosen the road less traveled over the "rat race" of life, and they reside in South Lake Tahoe, California. There they spend their time skiing, hiking, camping, and enjoying other outdoor activities. They are great people and I enjoy skiing the slopes of Lake Tahoe with them whenever possible.
My sister, Janet, and her family live in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She is married with two children. She and her husband, Chuck, enjoy traveling and have visited such places as St. Thomas, Australia, Scotland, and Hawaii. They usually come to San Diego every summer and we have a blast going to places like Disneyland, Universal Studios, Magic Mountain, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and Wild Animal Park. Hi Kris & Tim - miss you!!
Okay, I guess that just leaves one more person I need to mention . . . Kenny and I have been together since February, 1993. Kenny is a great guy!!! Shortly after we got together, he made it possible for me to return to school to pursue higher education, and that's pretty much what I've been doing since! Although I recently decided not to accept a very generous scholarship to attend a local law school, I am looking into furthering my education with a MBA. Thanx, Kenny!!

Me & Tyler Bear My Story
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, San Marcos in May, 1998. I was a student in the College of Business Administration, Center for High Technology Management, and I received a Bachelor of Science degree is Business Administration. I am a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon, an Honorary and Professional Business Fraternity.
Prior to CSUSM, I attended Mesa Community College in San Diego. While there, I was a member of Phi Theta Kappa International, an International Honor Society for Two Year Colleges. I graduated with honors from Mesa with an A.S. in Business Administration in May, 1996.
After graduation, I thought I would attend law school. After taking the LSAT, applying to various schools, and even taking a six-week law school prep course (for which I received an "Honors" grade, which is the equivalent of an "A" - wow!) I elected not to accept a very generous scholarship offered by a local law school. It wasn't an easy decision, but it seemed that as law school loomed ever closer, my reservations about my career choice and the profession became increasingly troublesome to me. After much introspection and many a discussion with my significant other, we decided that it would be best to take a rain check for the time being. My next plan is to obtain my MBA, so it's on to the GMAT for me . . .

My Hobbies
When I'm not studying, I enjoy many activities. I've skied at Heavenly Valley and Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe; water-skied at The Delta, Bullard's Bar, and Lake Powell; jetskied at El Capitan, Mission Bay, and Laughlin; river rafted down the Truckee and the Sacramento Rivers; and house boated on Lake Powell. If it sounds like I love the water, that's because I do. You know how us Pisces can be . . .
As I mentioned earlier, we took up bodyboarding last summer and we enjoy it immensely. It has been A LOT of fun and we're actually getting pretty good (although that probably depends on YOUR definition of "pretty good"!). Although we like it at Del Mar Beach quite a bit, we are always experimenting with new beaches and breaks, and Black's Beach has sort of stolen our hearts, so you can probably find us there occasionally too. And to answer your question, NO, we don't partake in the naturalist aspect of Black's! To give you an idea of HOW much we are enjoying our new hobby, I even created a surfing page - wow, scary!
I also enjoy participating in other outdoor activities such as horseback riding, swimming, bike riding, and going to the beach. I am a *serious* animal lover - I have a horse, a dog, and two cats. I am also an avid reader and movie connoisseur.
