You're right: it's a model. It is 1985, it is Honda; but it's red over silver out and white in where ours is (note tense) gray in and silver out; it's 1:64 where I wanted 1:43. Other than that it is a nice little item for a nice price. The only '85 Honda I saw in six months of searching, and it had to come from the Philipine Islands.

The 1985 we bought has air conditioning, the automatic, and a 1500 cc four-cylinder engine. It has stayed with us from November, 1984. It is one of those you could count on to do its job without complaint. When it did complain, it was almost invariably something I could fix. Except the valve train, which required a professional restoration when the timing belt failed at 54,000 miles, age seven or so.

Bought it for seven thou, wouldn't sell it for a thousand after eighteen years' use. If I could find a good station wagon version of this car (a real one, I mean) I think I could live with it.
