Max & Raquel's Dream Chalet

Activities:

Practically a ski-in ski-out property. You can't get any closer than that to the slopes. Just walk approx. 50 yards, put on your skis, and ski down the bunny slope to the ski chair-lift. Then go up the Access  Express chair for an easy ski ride down, or continue up to try the re-known Geronimo run getting steeply down from the highest skiable peak of southern California.

Other than skiing there is plenty to do, for example you can just walk to hike trails, walk to a golf course, and zoo (Moonridge Zoo), while you are only a couple of miles from the scenic Big Bear Lake, with all it has to offer, like fishing, kayaking, sailing, parasailing, etc.

Walk outside your door to the beautiful national forest with scenic hiking trails and walking areas. You are surrounded by the large pine trees, and the lovely forest! Here in upper Moonridge it's a breathtaking all season wonderland! In winter we get more snow than other areas of Big Bear, and retain it, mainly because of our high altitude (~7,300 ft), and thick trees. In summer, we get a nice cool breeze.

By the way, in winter, just behind the house there is a "dreamy" sledding area - kids and adults will love it!

Within a radius of just few miles from the house you can ski, snow tube, sled, rock climb, ride a snowmobile, go horseback riding, mountain bike, play golf, or have fun at the miniature golf, fish, hang glide, sight seen, etc. In summer you can still ski lift up to the top of Snow Summit for lunch and even ride your bike down, ride go-carts, water slide, and more. It's a wonderful place for families, there is so much to do! Big Bear is a popular year-round resort area.

It won't take much for you to fall in-love with the place. Two wood burning fireplaces will keep you nice and cozy inside, while the balcony and the 420 sq. ft. deck will let you enjoy the gorgeous view of mountains and lush pine trees outside. So kick back on the deck, sip few margaritas, throw something good on the barbeque, and watch the awesome mountain sunset over the snowy peaks.
