New - SDTS DEM to Tiff

DEMster is a Mac program that will create a greyscale Tiff file from a SDTS DEM file. This is an early beta version. I'll add more feature and better instructions when I can. This version is a freebee.

Instruction: Run DEMster, choose open from the file menu and select any of files in the set. DO NOT change the name of any of the SDTS files. The SDTS file must be "untared" first.

DEM30toTiff will convert GOTOPO30 DEMs to grayscale tiff files. This is a no fills utility.

If you have other sources for DEMs please let me know.

Here's the 7.5 min. DEM for Honolulu, HI created by DEM Reader 1.5

Trust me it looks good.

Here's a map of Honolulu from Tiger Mapping Service of the U.S Census Bureau.
