Komodo Dragon's bacteria
Brian Duong
Komodo Dragon has deadly bacteria in the mouth, a deadly saliva filled
with
microorganisms. The wounds often do not heal and the victim dies within
a few days.

The young tend to prey on insects and small lizards and graduate to
rats, mice and birds when they are about half-grown. One bite is enough
to kill
its prey because the bacteria in the mouth of the dragon is so
virulent that wounds often do not heal and the victim dies within a
few days.

Hunt by ambush and seize with jaws, bacteria in mouth infects prey when
bitten,
this usually causes death by blood poisoning, if prey escapes it usually
dies
within 1 - 2 days.

Dating back to the Ice Age, Komodo dragons are known for ambushing their
prey
and have powerful jaws, over 60 sharp teeth and a deadly saliva filled
with
microorganisms. Once bitten, their prey may get away only to die shortly
thereafter from a massive infection caused by germs produced in the
dragon's
mouth.
