We ran out from Mission Bay to an area SW of the 43 overnight, found the fleet out there, and water around 67 degrees. Looking a little south, the water turned colder by 1 degree at a temp break located at 27/04, so we went back to start trolling at 29/02 at first light.

The first jig strike came soon after, at 6:50AM, at 32/01 -- a triple strike by small dorado. The school swarmed the boat. We boated 20 dorado in all, and released perhaps another 10 or so, a nice stop after a number of very dry trips. And a good thing we had this stop, as it was quite a while between fish after that. We headed up and out, and picked up one very nice 19-pound dorado on the way from a paddy (and farmed another), and two yellowfin perhaps in the 8-10 pound range trolling alongside a small pod of dolphin, in the vincinity of 35/05. We stopped on a lot of dry paddies as well, covering the water to about 10 nm west of the 43.

We trolled about halfway back to Mission Bay, and managed to pick up one more nice dolphin on a jig strike around 35/45. Here's a shot of the 19-pound dorado:
