Ongoing Research

Jason Lobel is currently involved in research on the languages of Romblon Province, a project he began in September 2000. The culmination will be the following two publications with target release dates of early 2004:

A descriptive study of the languages of the Romblon Province of the Philippines. This book will cover the phonology, morphology, grammar, lexicon, dialectology and historical development of the Romblomanon, Asi and Onhan languages. Also included will be a polyglot minidictionary.
Romblon Phrasebook with Mini-Dictionary: A Guide to the Romblomanon, Asi and Onhan languages (tentative title)
Tentative Publication Date: early 2004
Number of pages: 72 (approximately)

The first-ever phrasebook to include all three languages spoken in the Romblon Province, plus Filipino and English translations. Useful for travellers to Romblon; for citizens of Romblon to understand each other's languages; and for students in Romblon to learn Filipino and English.
