No article nor studies exist in relation to charcoal filters causing rest tremors. This is based solely on experience.

A charcoal filter is installed with our central air system in order to help remove odors. Every time the heater is on, my body would start to tremble. The tremor is concentrated at the upper torso and the head. The tremor is amplified when one is seated or at rest while laying down. The tremor is also similar to a feeling of having a nervous anxiety attack.

A San Diego Bottled Water company who was trying to sell water left a sample bottled water unit at the house. When I drank the purified water, I began to have tremors. This was years ago. I told the water company that there was something wrong with their water. It caused me to have tremors. This Saturday, when I drank bottled purified water purchased from the Little League Snack Bar, my left leg began to tremor. A similar experience occurred yesterday, when I drank two bottles of Aquafina purified bottle water while waiting for my car to get fixed, I began to have tremors the whole day. This tremor is exarcerbated while at rest. With movement, the tremor disappears.

Drinking the Crystal Geyser Spring Water and Arrowhead Spring Water does not seem to have the same effect.

What is common with all of these tremor experiences? Charcoal filter. Aquafina Purified Bottled water uses the charcoal filter during its filtration process. The central air system uses a removable charcoal filter to remove odors.

Is this an allergic reaction to charcoal filters that manifest itself through tremors? This is the very first article on the Net on charcoal filters causing rest tremors.
